The matrix below lays out the features implemented for each individual marketplace we integrate with.

Legend

1 . Automatic invoicing
Every order being imported from the marketplaces has an invoice issued automatically.
2 . Retroactive invoicing
Invoices can be issued for orders which were previously non-compliant, hence were not invoiced, but which are now compliant. This can occur with retrospective VAT registration.
3 . Retroactive importing of orders
This involves having the ability to go back in time and import orders based on a time range.
4 . Invoice uploading to marketplace
If the marketplace supports it, this is the ability to automatically upload each order's invoice to the marketplace.
5 . Email delivery of invoices
The ability to send invoices to customers via email. This option is available only for marketplaces whose APIs do not allow programmatic (automated) uploading of invoices.
6 . Automatic issuance of CN for partial refunds
The ability to have credit notes issued for partially refunded orders which have previously been invoiced.
7 . Invoicing based on user-defined order statuses
The ability to choose from a list of marketplace-centric statuses and indicate which ones should be used when deciding whether to import an order, invoice it, or issue a credit note for it.
8 . Jurisdiction-based multilingual invoices
This feature allows issuing invoices in multiple languages depending on the language the customer placed their order in, their jurisdiction's language, the seller's home jurisdiction, as well as the jurisdiction of the place of supply of the transaction.
9 . One-click manual CN issuance
This feature allows the user to have a credit note issued with one click. Credit notes for partial amounts can also be issued using this feature.
10 . Automatic sequential invoice numbering
Many jurisdictions mandate that the invoice numbering scheme be sequential. This feature caters to this obligations for sellers who require it.
11 . Attribute-based custom invoice numbering
This feature allows placing newly issued invoices in predefined batches based on attributes. For example, a seller might find it necessary or desirable to have all of their orders with a place of supply in France issued under one batch where the invoice number is prefixed with FR, and have all the rest of their invoices in another batch. This feature makes such groupings possible. The non-exhaustive list of attributes includes:
  • place of supply
  • source country
  • target country
  • whether the transaction is an intra-community supply
  • whether the transaction is one where tax law deems the marketplace a reseller (marketplace facilitator)
  • is B2B
  • is B2C
  • is buyer an enterprise holding a VIES-valid VAT number
12 . Per-shipment invoice issuance
An order may comprise of more than one parcel. This usually happens when an order contains items which do not fit in one package and need to be shipped as multiple parcels, or when the quantity of the item is so big that not all of it fits in one package. Tax law stipulates that an invoice be issued for each individual consignment. This features is not supported by all marketplaces.
